He said: "You believed him before I permitted you; indeed he is your leader who has taught you sorcery. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of date palms, and you will surely know which of us is more severe and everlasting in punishment".
By cutting hands and feet on opposite sides, one will become completely paralyzed. “Which of us is more severe and everlasting in punishment” in verse doesn’t mean Pharoah is comparing between him and Moses, instead he is comparing between him and Lord. Pharoah himself had declared to his people that he is their highest Lord as told in verse 79: 24. And in verses 43: 51-54 Pharoah is seeing Moses as an insignificant man without any special powers.
